Custom Gas Blends
Custom calibration gas mixtures are blended to specified concentration, balance gas, cylinder type, valve outlet, pressure rating, and analytical tolerance, with COA, SDS, gravimetric records, and NIST traceability available.
SpecGas Inc. supplies specialty gas cylinders and custom calibration mixtures with the documentation industrial teams need to verify hazards, purity, traceability, and handling requirements. From SDS and COA support to NIST-traceable standards and proprietary cylinder treatment for reactive gases, we help EHS, laboratory, and production programs source precise gases with confidence for demanding compliance workflows.

Precision gas supply options supported by traceability, documentation, cylinder selection, and application-specific blending expertise.

SpecGas produces single and multi-component calibration gases for GC, FTIR, NDIR, PID, FID, electrochemical sensors, CEMS, and safety monitors, including reactive and non-reactive gas standards.
High-purity nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, helium, argon, carbon dioxide, methane, sulfur hexafluoride, and other pure gases are supplied for labs, manufacturing, cleanrooms, and analytical instruments.
Calibration gases for stack emissions monitoring and CEMS programs support EPA reference methods, Title V compliance, zero gas, span gas, intermediate checks, and Protocol-grade certification requirements.
Specially treated cylinders support stable storage of reactive gases including phosphine, chlorine, hydrogen cyanide, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, formaldehyde, silane, and related industrial monitoring standards.
Portable disposable calibration gas cylinders from 17 to 103 liters support field bump testing, overseas shipments, small-volume calibration programs, OEM kits, and facilities without refillable cylinder logistics.

We begin by confirming the gas components, target concentration, balance gas, cylinder size, valve outlet, pressure rating, purity expectations, and documentation needs for your industrial, laboratory, environmental, or safety program.
Industrial, laboratory, distributor, and monitoring customers rely on stable gas mixtures and complete documentation for complex programs.
Technical gas expertise, responsive operations, and documentation-focused supply for demanding industrial programs.
Gas standards are produced with traceability documentation that supports calibration confidence and audit readiness.
Proprietary cylinder treatment helps maintain difficult reactive mixtures at low ppm and ppb levels.

President / Founder
Alfred Boehm founded SpecGas Inc. in 2001 after building a long career in specialty gases that began in Germany in 1976. He advanced into director-level roles at Messer Griesheims Industries and later moved to the United States in 1991 to continue research and development in specialty gas applications. His background includes deep work in reactive gas mixtures and internal cylinder treatment methods, knowledge that shaped SpecGas's proprietary blending approach. Alfred's technical leadership has helped the company become a trusted source for precise, stable, and difficult-to-produce gas mixtures used across research, calibration, and advanced industrial applications. His experience remains central to the company's quality standards and problem-solving capabilities.

Operations Manager
Marco Boehm oversees operations at SpecGas Inc., helping ensure customers receive responsive service, dependable delivery, and carefully managed production support. As part of the family leadership team, he plays an important role in translating the company's technical strengths into efficient day-to-day execution. Marco supports scheduling, coordination, and operational oversight for custom specialty gas orders, helping research labs, distributors, and industrial clients stay on timeline. His involvement reinforces the company's family-run approach, where attention to detail and customer responsiveness remain priorities. By combining operational discipline with SpecGas's established blending expertise, Marco helps maintain the consistency and service standards customers rely on for specialized gas mixtures and urgent project requirements.
In the United States, OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200, requires Safety Data Sheets for hazardous chemicals, including many compressed and specialty gases. SDS documents must communicate hazards, safe handling, storage, exposure controls, emergency measures, and transport considerations. Industrial employers use them to train workers, manage chemical inventories, and support written hazard communication programs.
