Disposable Cylinders
Portable 17 to 103 liter disposable steel and aluminum cylinders support field calibration, export shipments, OEM kits, and small-volume orders where return logistics are impractical.
SpecGas Inc. supplies specialty gas cylinders with packaging, labeling, documentation, and cylinder-format guidance built around regulated gas transport needs. From disposable calibration cylinders to refillable high-pressure formats, our team supports precise gas blends, NIST traceability, reactive gas stability, and shipping-ready preparation for laboratories, manufacturers, distributors, environmental teams, and industrial safety programs.

Shipping-ready cylinder solutions for specialty gases, calibration blends, reactive mixtures, and high-purity industrial applications.
Portable 17 to 103 liter disposable steel and aluminum cylinders support field calibration, export shipments, OEM kits, and small-volume orders where return logistics are impractical.
Refillable aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and nickel-plated cylinders are available for pure gases, rare gases, calibration mixtures, and specialty blends up to 250 ft³.
SpecGas Inc. blends single- and multi-component mixtures to customer specifications, including concentration, balance gas, cylinder material, valve outlet, pressure rating, and analytical tolerance.
Specially treated aluminum cylinders and nickel-plated canisters help preserve challenging reactive gases such as HCN, PH3, Cl2, HCl, NH3, and H2S.
Orders may include Certificate of Analysis, SDS documentation, gravimetric production records, and NIST traceability to support calibration, compliance, and quality programs.
Cylinder orders can be specified with CGA fittings and compatible valve outlets for regulators, bump-test stations, analytical instruments, and OEM calibration systems.
Specialty gas shipping requires more than a filled cylinder. SpecGas Inc. helps customers align cylinder material, size, valve outlet, pressure rating, documentation, and packaging with the gas mixture and intended use. Our in-house blending, proprietary cylinder treatments, NIST traceable standards, and responsive operations team support safe, stable, shipping-ready gas supply for demanding industrial, laboratory, environmental, and OEM applications.

President / Founder
Alfred Boehm founded SpecGas Inc. in 2001 after building a long career in specialty gases that began in Germany in 1976. He advanced into director-level roles at Messer Griesheims Industries and later moved to the United States in 1991 to continue research and development in specialty gas applications. His background includes deep work in reactive gas mixtures and internal cylinder treatment methods, knowledge that shaped SpecGas's proprietary blending approach. Alfred's technical leadership has helped the company become a trusted source for precise, stable, and difficult-to-produce gas mixtures used across research, calibration, and advanced industrial applications. His experience remains central to the company's quality standards and problem-solving capabilities.

Operations Manager
Marco Boehm oversees operations at SpecGas Inc., helping ensure customers receive responsive service, dependable delivery, and carefully managed production support. As part of the family leadership team, he plays an important role in translating the company's technical strengths into efficient day-to-day execution. Marco supports scheduling, coordination, and operational oversight for custom specialty gas orders, helping research labs, distributors, and industrial clients stay on timeline. His involvement reinforces the company's family-run approach, where attention to detail and customer responsiveness remain priorities. By combining operational discipline with SpecGas's established blending expertise, Marco helps maintain the consistency and service standards customers rely on for specialized gas mixtures and urgent project requirements.
DOT standards for gas cylinders are U.S. Department of Transportation requirements governing cylinder design, manufacture, testing, marking, filling, requalification, and transport. For compressed and specialty gases, the applicable requirements are generally found within 49 CFR hazardous materials regulations. The correct specification depends on cylinder material, pressure rating, gas contents, valve configuration, and shipping method.
